Spring 2016 Meeting

Read OTA's Spring 2016 NOSB Report.

The Spring 2016  National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) took place April 25-27 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. The primary purpose of NOSB meetings is to provide an opportunity for organic stakeholders to give input on proposed NOSB recommendations and discussion items. The meetings also allow NOSB to receive updates from USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP) on issues pertaining to organic agriculture. The meeting will be open to the public.

2018 INPUTS UNDER SUNSET REVIEW

NOSB will be discussing the 2018 Sunset inputs at the spring meeting (April 2016) and voting at the fall meeting (November 2016). Feedback on the necessity of these inputs is critical for inclusion in the upcoming spring discussion and subsequent vote in the fall. It's not too late to share feedback with OTA. We will include it in our Fall 2016 comments.
