Anders M. Klocker is the Minister Counsellor for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries at the Embassy of Denmark. Before Mr. Klocker was posted to Washington in June 2006, he worked in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries in Denmark. Here he held a position as chairman of the Organic Food Council which is composed of all relevant players in the Danish organic sector and which drafts strategies and gives advice to the Minister. Mr. Klocker has represented the Danish government in many aspects of the development of a strong organic sector in Denmark - including efforts to establish an EU wide strategy for the development of organic food and farming and issues related to organic international trade.
